Michigan State Requirements
Municipal Wastewater:
Class A & B operators must complete 24 CECs every three years by Jan. 15, April 15, July 15 or October 15. License renewal date is dependent upon initial certification date.
Class C, D, L1, L2 operators must complete 12 CECS every three years by Jan 15, April 15, July 15 or October 15. License renewal date is dependent upon initial certification date.
Drinking Water Operator:
Class I-III operators must complete 24 CECs every three years by Jan. 15, April. 15, July 15 or October 15. License renewal date is dependent upon initial certification date.
Class IV operators must complete 9 CECs every three years by Jan 15, April 15, July 15 or October 15. License renewal date is dependent upon initial certification date.
Class V operators must complete 9 CECs every three years by Jan 15, April 15, July 15 or October 15. License renewal date is dependent upon initial certification date.
Additional Information:
Municipal Wastewater: Class A & B: No less than 0.6 CECs of the training shall be technical training or managerial training. Class C: no more than 0.6 CECs of training in the non-managerial, non-technical category may be used to meet the continuing education requirement.
